Malcolm Offord, the leader of Reform UK Scotland, said today that he was driven by a desire to ‘stop Scotland become a Communist country’.
He said that under a new left wing coalition of the SNP and Green party, there would be a lurch to a more anti-business culture that would be damaging for everyone.
“If you thought the last government was anti-business you ain’t seen nothing yet,” he said in an interview with Daily Business, in which he attacked the freebie culture and the lack of focus on the economy,
Mr Offord, who could become leader of the opposition given his party is polling second to the SNP, spoke out about the need to change attitudes to wealth and claimed his party has “led the narrative” in the election campaign.
He ruled out working with the SNP, saying he would “rather stick pins in my eyes”.
